Just got back from Amon Carter. Tech's defense put out their best game the same night that their offense had their worst game. Credit must be given to TCU for playing solid defense...but Tech was highly ineffective tonight. Numerous dropped passes (8 or 9) when Harrell was on target...and the rest of the time he was consistently throwing behind his receivers. I think that as Tech has been able to recruit more "name talent" that you start seeing the guys working less within the system and trying harder to make plays with their abilities. Tech's system is a "no name offense" in that you don't need the best talent but you need guys that are committed to executing the system properly.

Gimmicky offenses win in college all the time, one of the reasons I love college football. Tech's problem is while defense has improved, the past few years it let them down in big games, plus I honestly think Leach and staff are not the best at teaching the little things that are needed for teams to win in big games.

The worst part of the game today was the number of passes that were dropped. Not right on the money but a division 1 college receiver should be able to handle them. I would guess that there was at least 8 or 9 passed dropped.

TCU wasn't a team that Tech should just walk over by any means. They are a legit Top 20 team whether people wanted to give them credit for it or not.

I get that much...but I think they've proven enough in the past few years that they are. A Top 20 team can beat a Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and a Cal every year and still have a "bad loss." That's why they are Top 20 instead of Top 5-10.

The ones I know are not satisfied with it. I know some gung ho fans that insist every year that this is their year and then every year within 3 weeks of the season starting I hafve to call and make sure they are on sucicide watch because they lose to New Mexico, or TCU (TCU is okay but not a consistent power. They play in a crap conference and will never contend. How do you beat OU then lose to SMU?).

Basically they are a seconf tier team in the national scope. Are Tech fans satisfied with that? Yall please dont get me wrong. I root for the Red Raiders every week but one. I am going to their game next weekend and tailgating at Raidergate. I lvoe the atmosphere there and always have a blast.

Oklahoma - Iowa State - Baylor & Texas Tech. Lots of folks forget the Iowa State win in the some kind of Furniture Bowl and the end of last season

and none of those teams are or were worth a crap when TCU beat them. They are all either second or third tier teams on the national scene with the exception of UofO who is down the last two years.
