I am taking off work to see this game. After hearing how LH tore poor Gatesville a new rear end, I really want to see them in action and see how good the Gobblers really are.

I nominate this as the 3A state game of the week, not just in Region 4! Does anyone now how to submit nominations for games of the week?!

the last time cuero lost a regular season game was at home. this could be the end of the winning streak.

imagine what a final score of cuero/liberty hill would look like if the defenses play subpar. i would predict a 64-56 score. were gonna see some fireworks for sure!

i guess im going to have to inform u that cuero knows how to play defense so i seriously doubt anyone is dropping 50 on them, maybe not even 30 till playoffs

I think this game will be a good measuring stick for how good Liberty Hill is. I've seen what the Cuero defense can do to a team. (AND by saying that I am not comparing the Sinton's offense to Liberty Hill's)

I think if Liberty Hill can get their offense going and take some time off the clock and keep their defense off the field, then they have a good shot at upsetting Cuero. Cuero can score in 1-2 plays, they are at that good on that side of the ball. I haven't heard anything about the LH defense. They will have their work cut out for them this week. They will be facing the fastest team to date. Gonna be a good game!! Can't wait!!

Good Luck!!!

well cuero stopped sinton's run, and i know liberty hill likes to run the ball. ill predict a final score of around 28-21 either way. it will come down to the wire.

are the LH cornerbacks very fast? i havent heard any on the D, so im just wondering. If they arent as fast as the cuero WR's (i dont think very many people are), be in for a loooooooooong night....

I'm looking for the Panthers to do what Hutto did last year. Keep the ball on offense and control the clock. That is the best defense to use to beat the Gobblers. Keep the ball away from the Gobbler offense.

For the Gobblers to win , they will have to stay on their assignments and no arm tackling. Limit the Panthers time of possesions and create turnovers. If they allow the Panthers to get 3 and 4 yards a pop then it will be a long night for the Gobblers.

The Gobblers will have to do the same thing offense. That is keep the ball away from the Panters offense and wear down their defense. Keep the drives going for 7 or 8 plays. Scoring quick will play into the Panthers hands.

I'd have to ask my son who plays the corner spots. I think I know, but our program doesn't list them as CB's.....and a few player's positions aren't listed corrected. If they're who I think, then the speed is pretty decent. Whether or not they can hang with the Cuero WR's, we'll have to wait until Friday to see.

there arent any cornerbacks in 3a that can match the speed of cuero's wrs. they just have to be physical and slow them down off the line and play some zone.

There are only a couple of people in the state who can match the speed of our 220 lb fullback. Shaunbrey McNeal and Skye Green. You should have seen Stephon break that 51 yarder on Friday. Looked like he was shot out of a cannon. Those poor DB's lost one step for every two they took.
