Horns must beware of Rice

They are tough and we have to ready and focused. This is going to be a tough game. I have already told you that they have a dynamic new coach plus former UT great Major Applewhite is an assistant coach there which increases the risk. Let me give you some more history which will scare you out of your complacently. In 1965 we were ranked No. 1 in the Country and lost a big game to Arkansas 24-27. See the parrell with having just lost to Ohio State this year. Then who was our next opponent that year. Yes it was Rice just like this year. And what happened in 1965? Well what happened is we got beat by Rice by 17-20. This was the start to a disasterous 6-4 season and we have to be careful that it doesn't happen again. The thing that is even more scary is that the game is in HOUSTON!! :eek: :eek: So we must be careful and focused and encourage our team to win. This game is not going to be no ice cream and soda party but a real knock 'em around drag it out fight! Go Horns! Fight and Win!
