View Full Version : Where is C.E. King high school? Are they any good?

Been thinking about taking in a Livingston game since I live out that way these days, and saw today that they're supposed to play CE King this week.

Anyone know anything about CE King?

Hell, anyone know anything about Livingston?

Is Livingston a big school? I always thought they were like 2A.

Livingston is an up and coming 4A school. They were a mediocre program for many years in football, but have come around recently. They made the playoffs last year and beat Jasper in week 0 this year.

King is another team that is usually in the playoff hunt. I don't think either one are state title contenders, but that should be a fairly competitive game between 2 playoff hopefulls.

Yes, C. E. King is a medocre program at best, but they did upset a big program school from SE Texas a couple times. ;) :p

C. E. King is actually in the Sheldon ISD located on the Northeast side of Houston. It used to be a suburb but over the last 25 years has been swallowed up by Houston's growth. They used to be in the district with La Marque but I think they moved in the last realignment.

Last I heard, a high school teammate of mine was an assistant coach at Livingston.

TRIVIA. You most all are probably too young to remember, but there used to be a coach at the University of Kansas named Doug Dickie. I think he ended his career at Galena Park, where he played way back when. He had a head coaching job at C.E. King back in the early sixties when King was only a class A school, then went to UH as an assistant, then eventually to Kansas.

All joking aside, yes, C. E. King has had some good football seasons over the past several years.
