WHITESBORO — Jake Labhart rushed for 143 yards and three touchdowns as Whitesboro (2-0) overcame a sloppy first half to post their second consecutive 34-0 shutout victory, this time over Anna.
The game was originally scheduled at Anna but was moved because of construction delays at Anna’s stadium.
Labhart, a senior fourth-year starter, reached the 3,000-yard mark for his career on a 10-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.
Sophomore Brandon Barrow’s 59-yard run in the first quarter gave Whitesboro the lead, then Labhart added a 55-yarder in the first minute of the second quarter.
Anna (0-2) gained only two first downs and 23 net yards from scrimmage.
Mark Brooks led the Whitesboro defense with an interception and a fumble return for a touchdown.
