The best thing about this game was probably the halftime show where A. Maceo's mascot decided to walk out to midfield, take off his falcon head and then proceeded to taunt Madison's fans for a few minutes. No one really did anything to stop him, but it was pretty comical since they were down 40-7 at that point.

This probably wasn't the best test they could've had before going into the South Dallas Super Bowl in two weeks, but they showed marked improvement on offense over last week. Shawnbrey still didn't get the ball a lot, but he made his opportunities count and had 196 yards rushing and receiving on 14 touches and a couple of TD's. He actually had a 65 yard TD called back and had another play blown dead pretty late as he was already past the secondary on what would've been another 60 plus yard TD. It was also good to see that their back-up running back from New Orleans, who is a sophomore, appears to be pretty darn good himself.

Here's hoping that in two weeks the losing streak to the Purple Tigers dating back to 1998 finally comes to an end. It should be interesting to watch McNeal face off against Richetti Jones. There's going to be a lot of talent on the field for that one.

I really do think that Madison will beat Lincoln in the "South Dallas Super Bowl" in two weeks.
