Pirate defense is good. Gave up some yards but was very tough on their own end of the field.

Sinton must have a whale of a team to beat GP! Way to go Pirates!
When I was in high school, the Bluff was 3A and we were in the same district as GP. And there was only one team that advanced out of district. The one and only time that we beat them while I was in high school, and ruined their perfect record, still stands out in my mind as one of the most exciting hs football games I have ever been too.
BTW, we beat GP 13-0! Can you say shut out!

#48 Sanchez blocked the punt. He was putting alot of pressure on the qb. He was blowing right by the line and was being held to keep him from getting to the ball.
We have a rough next three weeks. Gp's defense is right where we need them to be. Offense is young and needs more dscipline. We can't just keep making these illegal procedure penaltys and blocking penaltys. Holden is our future, but he was in over his head tonight. I love the young man to death but our O-line made him make some bad decisions tonight. Kaleb Schrader is a freak...nuff said. That long kickoff return showed either bad coaching or wrong players on special teams...every player tried to tackle #9 jersey.

That would be Safety/Receiver Chris Goetzel. He was honorable mentions All State last year.

he was also a freak as a sophomore... as a gunner on kick off... kid would go airborne parallel and plow through the wall

I believe #67 blocked the punt and several others forced the punter to pull one down and take a sack on the other.

Its a sweet win for us fans but it was a tough one to win, as Gp shut our offense down like Cuero did and this time the pirates try different things. enjoy the win and lets move on to the next game. congrats to GP fans and Sinton fans on a intense week in this board and 4a board.

as a 3rd party viewer threads like this can be very humorous reading........every great forum has a bit of animosity between posters....lol but yea I still can't believe GP lost they way they did......after last years performance i really thought they would get together a great game.......guess not lol
