Not football but....hunting

do we have any hunters here?? I finally broke down and bought myself a deer rifle today. I figured at almost 30 yrs old, it was time to have my own and not have to share or borrow my fathers. SO, I decided to go w/ a Tikka T3 in .25-06 and topped it off w/ a Leopold 3-9x40. Shot it today....freakin SWEEEEEET!! I cant wait for the season!! What does everyone else shoot?? .270s? 7mags?

I still have my .270... but I still love shooting my 30-30.

The newest addition we have is a .17 HMR for hunting ---- Prarie Dog hunting! :) The farmers are always willing to let you go out to their ground to punch a few of those out of the reproduction cycle.

Now this is my kind of thread...I was goign to start one but thought i would get bashed..Yes, i deer hunt and turkey and dove...I have a 270 ruger and i also bow hunt i plowed and platned my field today and hung my stand and filled my feeder im ready man!!

Saw a cool clip on the news today about killing prarie dogs in Colorado. Like they inject some gas into their mounds and then it ignited and blew the hell out of the doggies. The people from PETA are having fits. Guns are more fun and that .17 would be a blast.
