Six area football programs are playing their first varsity seasons this fall:
Denton Guyer (District 5-4A),
Saginaw (6-4A),
McKinney Boyd (9-4A),
Rockwall-Heath (10-4A),
Frisco Wakeland (9-3A) and
Plano John Paul II (TAPPS 1-I).
They join these other area schools that have begun varsity play since 2000:
