I've never seen so much excitement and anticipation for this game, ever. Take the hype, excitement, etc. that is usually generated when we play OU and multiply that by 10.

Everyone is talking about it, even the professors. (Well that's what my friends are telling me.)

Just FYI:

- Tailgating has already started. Driving by the State Lots at 9 AM, there were several tents and RV's already set up.

- Gameday is here. They arrived this morning and are chillaxin at their hotel.

I guess that a Thursday is a big deal in Austin. Go to an Alabama game...it usually starts Monday evening for home games and Tuesday evening/Wednesday afternoon for away games. Those are your REAL tailgaiters!

Just start them SB on 183 and tell them to get over to Hula Hut or Carlos n' Charlies. See how long that takes 'em.

Drove by at around 5 pm.

Tents are up everywhere. tOSU fans were already exploring Austin, going down The Drag with their jorts and RV's. I even saw some on campus doing a tour and whatnot.

It's gonna be crazy.

Oh so now you are an Austin hater, too.......ok......well, I do see your point, seeing that you live where you do. Your jealousy of UT is pathetic......aggies (can you still be considered one?) like you, are what give A&M a bad rap. Do you even get that????

That's what happens when a bunch of smaller towns (Cedar Hill, Round Rock, Pflugerville, Lake Travis, etc) grow together. Every town had a main road or two...now they have to make them all intertwine because so many people live in one town and work in another. Those that were developing the towns road systems 75+ yrs ago never thought about the logistics of having to tie their roads in with a town that was 15 miles away.

^^^^

Well actually, Austin highways are horrible because the city council in the 70's and 80's didn't want to add any new freeways. Their reasoning is because they didn't want Austin to turn into another Dallas or Houston.

Little did they know how fast the growth would occur.

San Antonio has a better highway system than Austin. Freaking San Antonio!

But back on topic--The Buckeyes are out in full force. Kinda like how we were when we went to Columbus last year.

Actually, I think of SA as more of a city than Austin. The only thing it lacks is a skyline.

Nothing to be envious of, really.
