This morning I dropped off the youngest son for his first "game day". :weeping: :weeping: They grow up so fast.

Yesterday afternoon when he got home from school, he came in to talk to me with an embarrassed look on his face. He told me that most likely he would be starting both ways today in the game against Burnet (ST & DT). He's normally pretty shy when getting recognition on his accomplishments, but I could tell he was so proud and excited. WTG, son!  :)

Well, it wasn't too good. But it could've been worse and almost was. The score was 26-0, Burnet, when it looked like time had expired. Our coach actually managed to get a timeout called, so the :01 was put back on the clock. We scored a TD and 2-pt conversion to make it 26-8.

All in all, for the first game as a team, they did pretty well. We had the ball the entire first quarter and into the second before the ball ever changed hands. They're learning clock control, that's for sure. :) Good job boys and better luck next week.
