Junior Nolan Nunez http://themonitor.mycapture.com/mycapture/enlarge.asp?userphoto=0&image=12864941&thispage=1

BTW, I think Tarpons are going to have two great recievers in #7 Gilmer Flores and #9 James Delgado (both Jrs.) both with real good speed and most importanly great hands. Plus, they are good DBs as well!

Might as well add this one.

Fish mom did you reconize the shrimp boats? :)

You should see the other RGV team pixs, photographer Alex Jones, did an awesome job, using each background, to represent each teams town.

The pic of Ralph Valdez and the other 2 guys, that looks like the area where the shrimp boats are docked near the PI/SB Navigation District office, near Southpoint Marina.

Am I right?

Hah! That brought back a memory.

1994 Bi-District game vs. Orange Grove

Game was @ Orange Grove which was a LONG way from P.I. (a lot farther than I thought it was) and all of us were already pretty annoyed by the time we made it there. By the time we got there, it was already time for us to start stretching and warming up which meant no time for us to get any rest after the long bus ride to Orange Grove, which made us even more annoyed. As we're warming up and stretching, the OG announcer starts announcing the Offensive and Defensive starters and calls us the Port Isabel "Tarpooons". I think that announcer got the message that he screwed up pronouncing "Tarpon" when every member of the team and coaching staff looked up at the press box and gave it an evil stare.

That's what it looks like to me, but than again, it could even be at the Brownsville Port, cuz if you notice there is picture of Brownsville Rivera, they have the same background. (actually that backdrop looks better) Did you see the Brownsville Porter Cowboys @ the Brownsville Porter Zoo?

So close to Tom Landry's hometown, (Mission, TX) yet I have not been able to see the stadium named after him, and the mural.

TFINT, Found a classic pix (2004) vs Halletsville:

Your cousin Orlando Ochoa, heartbroken after that loss.

I felt so bad for Lando after that game. He had such a horrible game that day.

My 2 nephews from Katy the next day were poking fun at him by running and fumbling the ball impersonating him fumbling the ball those many times against Hallettsville. It was sad to watch.

To be a 2-time All-State punter.....just to be remembered as the QB that fumbled the ball 7-8 times in one game......I wouldn't want to be in poor Lando's shoes. I do feel bad for him.

Well that wasn't very nice of them!

I certainly won't remeber him that way, I enjoyed watching him since his sophomore year, heck of an athlete. Plus I am sure he will make a name for himself in college.
