Ode to Everman in 2003

Twas the year after 2-peat,
And all through the street,
Coaches, fans, and players were crying 3-peat.
Hopes were hung on the returning players with care,
With dreams of the 3-A trophy returning this year.

Coach Keeling and his boys nestle down in their beds
While visions of State Championships dance in their heads.
Hard work in the off-season,
All out in the fall,
Winning spirit the reason
They dominate 3-A football.

Twas the year after 2-peat
And all through 3-A,
Everyteam yearning Everman to beat.
Kennedale Wildcats hope they'll be first,
Tigers, Lions, and Eagles, all with big thirst,
That victory over Everman only will quench,
From Everman's defense TD's they must wrench.

On Sinton, On Burnet, On Forney and Jasper!
Hit harder, block better, run faster and faster!
And to all 3-A teams far and near,
May your season be merrier in this new year.
And to all Down Low Posters,
Add a few lines,
To bring your team closer
To victory sublime.
