You'd be surprised how many ex/current band members and parents are on this board.

man...I wish I had seen this thread earlier. Between the WSOP and Nip/Tuck Season 4 Premiere...I can't watch tonight.

BTW...I am a former member of the 2002 Cavaliers snare line. They were either the #1 or 2 drumline in the world that year. I was the 4th or 5th snare in their line before "life got in the way." In 2001, I had tried out for the Bluecoats and made it through initial tryouts before finishing as their 3rd or 4th alternate on their snareline.

I'm a former member of the Gregory-Portland Wildcat Band that set a national record of 44 straight consecutive 1s...but who's bragging? :p

Cool. The Cavs show this year was awesome. If you marched in 2002, then I saw you peform at the Alamodome in San Antonio. You guys won the Southwestern Championship that year, if I remember correctly.

A friend of mine played for the Bluecoats back in '04.

yeah...I was referring to where their line placed. The 2002 show was one of my all-time favorites. I'm pretty sure that was the year the line scored either a 20 or a 19.9 in semifinals and was the #1 line...I'll have to go look it up again.

I was SUPPOSED to play in 2002...but like I said earlier, "life got in the way" and I had to "resign" before the summer started. Long story short, I had an opportunity to work for a US Congressional candidates campaign and I just couldn't turn down the chance. I won't get into the frustration that resulted from making that decision...but I would make it every time.
