I wonder where I heard that before. No wait! It was USC before the Rose Bowl! :)

dont know how you can possibly come to that conclusion having seen just one game and not having seen texas play ... playing UNT (the "Not So Mean Green" - ESPN's Chris Fowler) doesnt count ...

from what I saw it'd come down to a field-goal because of the defenses...

but like 3afan said, we can't really tell...

Well I don't think Miami's offense is that much better to be honest with you...

I think Weatherford is the better QB of the two and FSU may have better receivers than Miami... I think a lot of Miami's hype is based off of a great defense (which FSU also has) and a RB who has a famous last name...

This is the most random post ever.

What prompted you to post this?

I wasn't impressed with either offense. Both defenses looked real good. The thing that won it for FSU was their receivers. Weatherford wasn't that special. He just threw it up and his receivers made the catches over the over-rated corners for Miami.

It would be one thing for someone to say that they don't think Texas would beat someone. But to say that Texas "couldn't hold a candle" to a school just shows ignorance and/or hatred and/or jealousy.

I dont know about texas not being able to hold a candle to them or not, but I do know that those defenses were AMAZING!. There was so much speed on the field for both. You had defensive tackles tracking RB's down and making the tackle down field. It was rediculous. Those teams are going to give OC's fits.
