Why isn't Cuero No. 1 in this poll!

They proved they are the best with a 29-0 win over Sinton. EVERYONE knows this!

I could see accidentally rating Gilmer above Cuero, but Gilmer AND West Orange-Stark? Give me a break!

Now we all know Gilmer had a better recruiting class than Cuero over the summer and the top Ranking for the Buck's confirm's any doubt  .....Good job up in Buckeye land

I don't see how Wylie is high in the rankings and Monahans doesn't even get a sniff. Monahans beat state ranked Snyder and dominated Wylie in a scrimmage. Thats the word on the street.

oh...and I definitely think that Wylie is ranked to high. I see this being a 5-5 or 6-4 type season...and maybe winning a playoff game or two. Until they can learn to be effective AT ALL on offense then they aren't going to get too far.

2 surprises:
1. that we are ranked 14th, did not think we looked like a #14 team in the state. Not saying we won't later on, we just didn't this weekend.

2. That Monahans did not make the top 25.

I haven't posted anything other than that Cuero is No. 1 until proven otherwise since Saturday.

And I never said the things about Gilmer you attributed to me. I only said that others should comment on rankings and whether one had "proved" oneself No. 1, not the players themselves.

Cuero has convinced me that it deserves to be ranked No. 1 until "proven" otherwise. And there is no sarcasm intended.

Obviously the maker of this poll didn't consult you. Maybe you should make your own. WO-S did pretty well winning 26-9 against Dayton, a 4A team that has made the playoffs 10 years straight.

Bellville not in this poll? Bellville is ranked as low as 13 and as high as 6 in polls, but not in this one?
