Yes the Vandals have a V on their helmets.

For those of you who are ignorant:

a Vandal is "a member of the Germanic people who overran Gaul and Spain and North Africa and sacked Rome in 455"

I must be....this is what I thought a vandal was (kinda ironic they use the word "ignorant" in their definition):p

Vandal: a person who willfully or ignorantly destroys or mars something beautiful or valuable.

You didn't really think Van's mascot was a Vandal by that definition did you? That would be like naming your team the "arsonists" or the "thieves".

BTW, the U. of Idaho are the "Vandals". Much like USC are the Trojans and Michigan St. are the Spartans.

Until I read this thread, I hadn't heard of the Van Vandals...so I didn't know it WAS a team and mascot.

My definition for vandal is still correct though...just maybe not in THIS case!!:D
