Week 1 games

Before I do a bunch of research/bs/typing, I wanted to throw these games out to see if any of you know any better ones. (And if your team was a zero week GotW....forget it. :p )

Region I: Iowa Park vs Abilene Wylie
Region II: Gilmer vs Tatum
Region III: Rockdale vs Caldwell
Region IV: Port Isabel vs Raymondville

Any complaints or suggestions? Now's your chance, because I'm too lazy to do them tonight. I'll check in the morning and do them then.

Region II should be a tougher game to pick. Anyone who has the sense to listen to me will know Gilmer is gonna blow Tatum out.:D

Well, then how about Sanger vs Bonham. :doh: Region II is tough because so few teams have folks on here. :(

in Region one the game might be Sweetwater vs. Bwood. The IP/AW game will be well represented in person though. Maybe someone will have a cam for the M&G. I cant believe we didnt snap some shots at gwood/graham or did I miss it?

Port Isabel vs Raymondville is a good one.

Another to consider is Bandera - Hondo.

Hey Injured, I think Sweetwater vs. Brownwood should be considered too. Both are deserving of top billing this week.

Gilmer vs. Tatum should be the game of the week for the entire state, regardless of classification.

agreed.....Cameron vs. Gatesville should be a solid game. Always a hard fought game when these two meet plus Gatesville is looking to rebound this year. What better place to start than over a state ranked team? (though Austin LBJ will likely be the fastest team the Yoemen have to face all year)

I forgot my camera......the only shots taken at the game were the silly girls sitting in front of us with a camera phone!

It's good to see a Valley match-up, but I think Old Green's suggestion will probably be a better match-up.

Gotta go with Columbia vs. Bellville!!! Much uncertainty on who is gonna win this one so it should be a good pick 'em!
