I know Stafford bounced Cuero out of the basketball playoffs 79-46 but this is the funny shaped ball not the round ball so Im saying Gobblers big.

Stafford just got in last year's playoffs, but made a quick exit. Their program has been down for a while, but they have been turning it around. Cuero won't have any problems and should win by whatever they want.

This matchup should never have been made. Both teams must have been desperate....

Columbia has beaten Stafford by scores of 49-6 and 50-0 the past two years.

Wrong my dear Bull's-eye, that was year before last. Stafford missed last year's playoffs. They have a new coach and no one knows what system he's installed. They will always have a few athletes, though.

I stand corrected, doesn't seem like two seasons ago. I know when they were in Bellville's district their football program wasn't very good.

looks like the poll has picked Cuero...their first home game of the year and it should be a good one...gotta take the Gobblers and at least 28 pts.

This shouldn't EVEN be close.

We're talking Palacios caliber, folks.

Cuero 49, Stafford 7

Stafford, btw, is just outside Sugar Land and near Rosenberg

I remember 2 or 3 years ago when we played them they had well know athletes turned coaches Larry Micheaux of Phi Slamma Jamma fame and also All Pro NFL player Keith Bostic of the Houston Oilers. Bostic also had a son who played there that season.

Depending on how good Stafford is, the results of this poll might be an accurate score prediction.

Cuero was desperate, in fact. Coach Reeve had a VERY difficult time scheduling games. No one around us will play us which is why our non-district opponents are an average of 120+ miles away. This year's mileage won't be so bad for Gobbler fans as most of the long-drive games (Stafford, Bay City, Liberty Hill, plus Palacios) are in Cuero this year. But next year, get ready to wear the numbers off of the gas card...

You a pretty smart dude so tell me. Can a 3A play a 5A without permission?

I just think scheduling Converse is a little extreme. Your team might win but will be pretty beat up after the game. This is no slight to CJ. They are always among the biggest, fastest, quickest teams out there. They don't play dirty as far as I know. But goodness, why would they ever agree to play Cuero? They are pretty close to the biggest scruel out there(at least before Warren came into being).
.
We all know that yall could take VM, of course.:D

I'll take Cuero by GJ Kinne's, Arsenial Richardson's, Jamell Kennedy's, Curtis Brown's, and Cuero's Noack's 40 times combined (translating seconds into points).

That's gotta be like 8 or 9 points doesn't it?:D
