What happened?
WHITESBORO--Senior tailback Jake Labhart rushed for 157 yards and accounted for three touchdowns, helping to give new Whitesboro coach Eddie Gill a shutout victory, 34-0, in Gill's debut Friday night.

Whitesboro (1-0) took a 27-0 halftime lead as Labhart scored on a punt return and on runs of 60 and 18 yards. Fullback Justin Caffey added 93 yards.

Community (0-1) managed 172 yards total offense, but came up short on two possessions inside the 20-yard line, both in the second half.

Quarterback Trevor Martin had 133 passing and 39 rushing yards for Community.
