didn't think I had to update this game figure it was on radio. Cuero hasn't had to defend much as Sinton Offense is run between tackles. Sintons defense is doing nice job with the exception of one run believe it was a counter as most defense went the wrong way. Cuero 1st td was kept alive with 2 3rd and long

overall both looking sluggish on offense but cuero looks like they taking to the air to open this game up.

I will post more updates in second half

MagicMan

to be expected, but the bad news for other teams that face Sinton from here on out is that, they have a good coach, and now he knows where his weaknesses are. Which he will no doubt have fixed by district play.

Defense was awesome...so dang quick to the ball...the young offense just needs to come around (and will) and make sure they stay with their blocks...I'm glad alot of the Seniors got to play...

By the way MM, the radio announcing was literally done from the top row of the visitor side stands.. don't know all the details, but Joe and Grandpa were on the top row with a cell phone and a radio/phone box broadcasting.. I've never listened to their broadcast (since we're at the games) but I give them credit for working under "unusual" circumstances :) like I said earlier, the deal with the radio station was literally worked out on Weds of this week.. Next week, hopefully things will be up and running 100% -
Had a scare on the field with Corey (#9) thankfully, it looked to me like he'd just got the wind knocked out of him and he was back in the game on the next offensive series :)

I think we did alright against the #1 TEAM IN THE STATE!!!  Would I have liked to see our offense score a TD? Of course. Maybe they'll accommodate us next week!! Our defense held on as long as they could, but did you SEE those Cuero boys??? Good God!!! I'll post the stats from the game when the paper gets here if it has them. In the meantime, congrats to the Gobblers. My take is both teams showed signs of "cobwebs", and I'm sure both will get better. I thought Sinton's D did a great job until they started showing signs of tiring out in the second half. They were on the field way too long considering we spent most of the night inside our 25 to 40 yard line. Cuero's D did a good job shutting down our offense. I believe Sinton only got past the 50 once that I remember.

Congratulations Cuero.
Tre is awesome. So is that no. 9 dude. Kyles passes were a lil off at first but he started to thread the needle when it counted.
Sloppy for both teams in the first half especially. Both defenses looked pretty good.
Ryan and Trent on D for Sinton were awesome. Fast and so hard-hitting. Collins was himself tonight. The run defense is looking good.
Not a horrible job by our defense at all. Lots of promise there.

We need alot of work on our o-line. Lots of work...
just my opinion, of course. The inside run looked decent but not much blocking on the outside. Wes can pass if the guy has time for cripes sake. It's like bizarro world compared to last year.
The "O" needs alot of work.

All i have to say on the game is where is the pass? Only 3 passes on the game.
1-3 for 9 yards.

It did not take much to see that the run game was not the best choice. By far one of the worst games that i saw Sinton play. All the player played a good hard football game. Who was calling these plays? Wish you all the best luck next week in GP

yea they show some speed but that last touchdown pass to Gray really showed how much faster he was than what the Pirates had, QB just threw the ball as far as he could and Gray just ran down the ball and blew pass his defender and the deep cover guy. No contest on that play, not even fair:)

Read the posts more clearly. I never said anything about a new offense. What I did say is that in order for anyone to win almost any game, you have to play a flawless or near flawless game, regardless of the opponent. If you think you know so much about football why dont you try coaching it. But I guess your happy bagging groceries for a living....not that there is anything wrong with that.

Congratulations to Cuero for the win Friday. You have a great team which goes without saying. Great effort by the Pirates and we look forward to a great game with G-P. It was also great getting to meet the Cuero and Sinton friends at the halftime since we missed out last week.
