I know everyone is excited about week 0 as we are in Fairfield. But it is bitter sweet for us knowing that one of our star players from last season is fighting for his life. Chase Gillian who graduated last May was slated to play football on schloarship at Navarro this fall. As a senior last season he racked up many awards on both sides of the ball. Well really soon before he was about to start playing he had to have his appendix sp? taken out well the doctor messed up on taking out his appendix and cut his instenstine sp?. Well once his intestine was cut he was sent to Baylor where he was near death with tubes in trying to get all the vial that had leaked to his body. Things look to get better earlier this week but they found some more bial so more work is being done. He is a very good friend of mine and was also a great basketball player so please keep him in your prayers. sorry for the non football thread on opening night but felt it needed to be said
