Lockhart and La Grange had enough for two teams. The Lockhart "B"Team beat La Grange "B" Team 14 - 0. La Grange "A" Team beat Lockhart 20 - 12. La Grange's offensive line dominated the game. After halftime, Lockhart put up to six players on the line of scrimmage. Great coaching on their part. Lockhart scored on 2 long runs. Both about 65 yards. Lockhart has a lot of speed. La Grange's defense played well also, made the big plays when needed and stopped a drive at La Grange's 10 yard line with 35 seconds left in the game. La Grange's Freshmen Team will still be missing two key players for about another 3 weeks. The starting qb broke his collarbone the second day of practice and the starting rb broke some toes and cracked a bone in his ankle, on the fourth day of practice. Rough going for while but the other players stepped it up tonight. My son had homework, and when we left the score was still 0 - 0 on the JV game.
