No, neither of them are coaches. The play-by-play guy is the station's general manager and the other guy is his stepson.

According to the Midland Reporter, Rodriguez had 189 yds. He had a very good night. Link (http://www.mywesttexas.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=17138772&BRD=2288&PAG=461&dept_id=475011&rfi=6)

Great game for the Lobos. I'd say Snyder has some work to do, both offensively and defensively.

Congrats to Monahans for the win. I hope the Snyder fans, while disappointed by the loss, will understand that 1 game does not a season make. I picked the Tigers to win, but had some reservations based on the Bulls playoff loss to Monahans last season. I still think that there is one word which "characterizes" the Monahan teams under their present coach---tenacious. They survived an incredible Bulls offensive "storm" in the playoff game and had several opportunities to "fold" and they came back each time they needed to, never believing that they could lose for a second. That is an indicator of some sound coaching and team discipline by their coach---that is what makes Monahans teams so hard to beat. You can get em' "down", but they never stay "down". Best of luck to both these good teams for the rest of the season.

Well as a former Lobo Alumni. I am glad LOBO FOOTBALL is earning fans around respect. I have said it all along Owens is a different breed of Coach he is special. I played for him when he was an assistant my Junior and Senior year and even as a soph. when he was the head man on the JV in the early 90's. The man is a math wizard he knows how to do win and be succesfull.

Loboes proud to have him hope we can keep him. Note I do think a lot of Snyder's coach also.

Josh Rodriguez stepped in and did an awesome job last night. 189 yards Snyder's defense could not stop the run in the first half, first contact on the runner was 5 yards down field, too much arm tackling and not wrapping up the running back. The coaches made some good adjustment at the half and the defense played better in the second half. Still there were times that the ball carrier was hit in the backfield and escaped for plus yardage. I think that the Tigers look to have a lot of talent, it is just going to take a little time to come together and gell. I still look for good things to have happened come playoff time. Passing game struggled early but looked better late.

Monahans looked good running the ball, struggled a little with the passing game. Good job by the Lobes. Congrats guys.

They blew the whistle, and called the ball dead.At first it looked more like a touchdown for the Tigers the ball was stripped. The refs threw the flag, because the tiger that stripped the ball threw the football kinda hard at the ref.He was upset cause they called the play dead.It was the right call though, the tigers stopped him in the backfield then carried him into the endzone.

I like Bulloholic's "tenacious" description. Last night Monahans seemed to move the ball up and down the field and yet trailed most of the game thanks to a missed PAT. I think the stats will bear that out. We were beginning to wonder if they were ever going to punch it in, or just lead the stats and lose the game. They stayed after it and finally got the second TD late in the third.

Rodriguez - who got 189 yds and both TDs - is Graves' replacement at fullback, and is leaner but seems faster than Graves. I'm anxious to see what the O can do with Rodriguez and Roberson - who did not play - both in the backfield next week.

Rodriguez was very impressive, the o-line was opening up big holes for him to run threw. It will be very intersting when Roberson does come back. Great game Monahans!

The PA called first down not the refs though. The almost TD was
called a TD by the umpire and then called incomplete by the
line judge. The line judge had a better and closer look at the play.

It used to be on an FM station in Abilene that you could get online if you got on their site about 30 minutes before game time. I can't remember what frequency though. 102.7 maybe??? You could also look around for a Brownwood broadcast.

it is still 102.7. We have quite the group of broadcasters I have to agree. I know them all 3 and love em all 3. Sometimes it seems to get a little ridiculous and maybe sometimes it is taken too far in somes eyes but if you knew the personality and demeanor of the guys you would understand. Great guys that love these kids and alot of it is for show.

So what happened to the kid who chunked the ball at the ref. ? Then after the foul was called procedded to give the the ref. a tongue lashing. Awesome game Snyder outside of this one little problem I thought Snyder did a great job.

I'm so glad your invited to film roid, I was told by players that played in this game and watched film today. Just about the time I think your talking about good things, you come along and open your mouth and insert your foot. Why don't you stick to your newspaper, at least someone proof reads it before it is published. :D

When were those games played?? Our JV and Freshman played Crane yesterday, which I thought was strange, since the Varsity doesn't play Crane til next Friday. I don't know who the underclassmen will play then!!

In the freshmen game, Snyder scored with four seconds to go. They missed their two-point conversion. The Tigers dominated the JV game. Some of JV players may be on the varsity this week against Hereford.

I was just told at church this morning that 2 of our Tigers and one other boy was in a bad car wreck last night. The two Tigers were OL/DL Daniel Somia(sp) and RB Chase Arrendale(sp) and the other was Domeniq Caberra(sp). Daniel and Domeniq are in ICU in Lubbock. Chase is at home doing good. PLEASE keep these boys in your PRAYERS!

Just got word from someone that talked to Dominque on the phone and he has blood in his lungs and they are draining it. Daniel is in ICU with head injuries. No word on his condition. Fixing to head to Lubbock, I will check on them while I'm up there.

I just returned from Lubbock. Went by and saw the boys. Daniel has head injuries with cuts and bruises in good condition. Dominque is in ICU with head injuries and has internal bleeding in his lungs and is in stable condition. They are very lucky young men. All I know on the wreck is it happen on a county road with loose gravel, lost control and rolled the pickup.
