Correct me if I am wrong, but State Minimum is around $25,000 annum for classroom teachers. Most school districts add an additional kicker on top of that (2~3K a year for example). Coaches stipends, etc. would be added to that as well.

The highest paying public school district in Texas right now is La Joya, I believe. I've gone to a couple of Education fairs at my school, where schools recruit new teachers, and that school had the highest pay and benefits.

The highest paying places are probably going to be places she doesn't wanna go. The inner city districts and the border town districts are usually going to pay the highest. After that, most districts are pretty much the same, depending on the cost of living in the area.

Tell her not to go to Bandera because our teachers start out at or maybe within 1k of the minimum.
