Agassi at the US Open

This is his last tournament EVER!!! Everybody that is still awake should tune their TV's to USA (or Universal HD if you get that channel) and watch a very well played match between him and Andrea Pavel. They split the 1st two sets in tiebreakers and they are in a tiebreaker right now for the 3rd set.

Remember, once Agassi is finished at the US Open, an American tennis legend will be gone forever! Tune in to history people!!! :mad:

I've been watching since it started. It has been a great match so far. I sure would hate to see it be his last. I think he's going to take him though. Pavel seems to be running out of gas.

Agassi was down 4-0 in the 3rd set and then won several games in a row....great atmosphere at the Open for Agassi and some really good tennis being played, hopefully Agassi gets through this one....

that was sick...

now what is with them playing music in between sets??? That's a new thing for the open. This match reminds me of 2001 when Sampras and Agassi went to 4 tiebreakers in the quarters in Sampras' last tourney. We had over 50 guys in the lobby of the dorm just going nuts the entire match...and maybe 5 of us had ever played/followed tennis!

He will be playing #8 Marcos Baghdatis in the second round. Fortunately for Agassi, this match won't be until Thursday so he will have 2+ days to recover. I know what I will be watching on Thursday evening! :D :D :D
