You should be able to boot up your computer using the installation cd that you have and reinstall windows. (Don't select the repair option). I believe you will want to format your drive (one of the options) and create a new partition. This will wipe everything on your computer.

This site should help you out...

You can erase the images several different ways.
1. Download the Hard Drive Manufactureres Disk Utility Program and format the hard drive.
2. Use a Copy of the Windows CD (XP,2000... etc). Boot into the CD. When you have option to install Windows... select that option. You will then see your partitions on the drive and you can then delete them. You can then repartition your drive or create one partition for the new OS.

actually if you have an xp cd, or your recovery cd, just boot to it, and somewhere during the install you get to do a format and then you can delete all partitions and go from there

its people like you that give me job security and jobs that pay upwards of $65/hour - so for that, i thank you

Ya thats what I just did, I deleted every partition on there. Now my old computer runs like my new 1. I'm still using an old 4300 Dell. Course its just the upstairs computer but it's running well.
