Who will win this week zero showdown between two top 10 teams? Its time for some football ladies and gentlemen!

Wimberley by 17! You're not going to beat the Texans just by running the football...

Wimberley, I was very impressed with their coaching and play calling. Wimberley has a well balanced offense and I believe this gives them the edge over the Buffaloes. Giddings will try to control the clock with their running game, but they will need to throw effectively to keep "Code Red" honest. Giddings must find a way to stop Buse and Wimberley must do the same with QB Fritzhenrey. Great matchup to open the season!

Giddings by 7. Their rushing game is good enough to get by even a good team like Wimberley. Should be one of the best games in the state in Wk 0.

Giddings has a good team, but don't think they can handle Wimberley...

This is a giant matchup of two Top 10 teams early in the season. Where is the game being played?

If wimberley has very many returning starters from last years team, I will have to go with the Texans.

I favor Giddings by a touchdown since they are playing at home.

Wimberley 38
Giddings 13

If Wimberley is anywhere near the team they were in the playoffs last year, they win easily. Giddings is almost identical to their squad from last year. WO-S beat them handily, then got whipped by Wimberley. Wimberley has enough coming back and has so far looked good in scrimmages to convince me they'll win big.

Giddings was pretty beat up by the time they got to the playoffs...

Whimberly is gonna be good, no doubt, but this will not be a blowout like whimberly is acoustomed to.

Survey says...whimberly by 3

Giddings by a touchdown

I can't believe it didn't get the nod. A definite wild card option for the pick 'em though!

Good idea FBB, maybe we can get some cell #'s from several different people (different area teams).

Ditto... Giddings and Wimberley were our last two opponents.... with WOS winning by 21 over one and losing by 23 to the other. From what I've seen Wimberley will have just as good of an offense if not better this year but the touted "code red" defense from last year isn't what it used to be.... and given that WO-S hung 29 points on them last December... the key will be stopping Buse and holding the offense to under 4 TDs... I predict a high scoring game (20+ pts by both).... but Wimberley should run away with it.
