It was the way he played. He wasn't known for bone-jarring hits. He was always around the football. He knew what the play was ghoing to be before it was ran. I wish I could watch the 98 cotton bowl over again. 20 tackles and an interception that he lateraled to a teammate for about a 70 yard td return.

He was a solid, not great LB..nothing more nothing less( In the NFL) In College he was a great LB.

He is being honored for his off field leadership and attitude as much as what he did on the field. Which is a good thing.
