Post Padding (You know who you are)

Since the football season is upon us, the admins have asked that we try to curtail the post padding threads. We would appreciate it if you need to post something non-football related, you'd try to indicate such in your choice of titles. We're not upset or anything, but we'd like to hold down the complaints about non-football stuff. Thanks for everyone's co-operation.

I would like to make clear that this is not post padding and will be of value to all 3Adownlow members and very beneficial. of course any post up until then promoting the return of the Doctor is probably post padding

"Happy Birthday" threads are ok, just not 20 of them on the first page. Try combining all in ONE. No one said non-football threads weren't allowed, we're just asking you try to limit them. During the season, we have some die-hard football fans that usually complain about the "meaningless" threads. They don't like having to search through three pages to find a football topic. And trust me, WE hear about it.

Post padding is when somebody just continues to post for the purposes of boosting their numbers. However, I don't consider it "padding" if you are having a discussion with somebody else...regardless of the topic. A lot of us do it...RM just does it with greater frequency. ;)

I'm hearing lots of grumbling about this SIMPLE request that was made by our admins. Some of you are harassing some moderators over this deal. That needs to STOP immediately. It is their job to make the call. Once it's made, it's a done deal. Don't come to us crying if your thread gets deleted because we judged it as post padding or other nonsense. It's OUR judgement call period.
