So which posters are geographically the farthest north, south, east and west, that are actually in Texas. I think Im the farthest West here in El Paso

I think I get closest to the Gulf...Portland, TX...specificially 2 blocks from the water.

Here's the 2006 3A Realignment mapped out with each square marking the exact location of the main campus of every 3A school. Of course a lot of squares are overlapping in the more densely populated areas.

As far as actual 3A programs, it looks like Anthony is the futhest west, Perryton the furthest North, West Orange-Stark just barely winning out over Bridge City, Orangefield and Kirbyville for furthest East, and Port Isabel barely winning out over Progreso and Hidalgo for furthest South.

Actually, it took quite a while (several months) as each marker was individually placed and sorted with over 1000 different schools in the database currently. GoogleEarth is just the mapping software that was used.

I think this map tells me the best football is played in East to NE Texas. I think this is true because this is where all the schools are located.:nerd:

I'm in the middle of where the best HS in the state is played(DFW).
