Burnet lost 3 Bulldogs yesterday in two seperate accidents. Celia Ramirez and Josh Merrick(both seniors) were killed in an accident on HWY 281 yesterday morning. I understand they were both fine students. Celia was a high ranking officer in band, and Josh was a member of the 06 district champion track team.

Andrew Ivicic a 2006 graduate was killed when he crashed his motorcycle yesterday evening. He was a 3 year starter in football, and a 3 year letterman in powerlifting.

Please remember the families and friends of these kids, as they will be missed tremendously...

That is really sad. They will be in my thoughts and prayers. I wish that everyone would stop and realize that you can't take life for granted.

Every loss is a terrible one, but the teenage years seem to touch me the most. Sending prayers from Liberty Hill to the family and friends of these kids.

So sorry to hear this, how very very sad. Will keep them in my prayers, may God keep their loved ones close and send them healing and strength. Sorry to hear this, Chris. We had a young man die here too this week in a one car rollover. He used to attend BHS, but was attending the Excel Academy in SA and was on his way to the first day of school.
Grief counselors are at both schools this week. He went off the road and over corrected ......and wasn't wearing his seat belt.
Please kids, drive carefully and please wear your seat belts....I cannot imagine how his mom and dad feel knowing he might have survived if he had worn it....so sad.... :(
