Me too. I've gotten within about a foot, but I think I'm due. Preferrably during a tournament that offers great prizes, but really anytime is fine.:) I believe I read once that the odds of a hole in one was 1 in 12,000 (or something like that).

nope, but came very close, they ball did the flagstick and bounce about 6 inches from the hole...was a little upset, but hey, thats golf

I actually have two. The first one I got one month after I started playing. I shot 98 that day and the hole in one was a 125 yd 7 iron that never left the ground. The other was about three years later, at a night course in lubbock texas. The ninth green is right in front of the patio bar. When it went in about 40 people started cheering. Of course they were pretty drunk so I had to find a couple of sober ones to be in the paper as witnesses.

I got one last October. I am 52 and started playing when I was 16. It was a 145 yard 9 iron on #17 and I also brided the last hole to shoot 69.

Ive come close. It was a par 3 in Austin (dont remember which course), and the tee box was up-hill from the green. The ball rolled right by the hole. I was a little disappointed to say the very least.

Last summer in Palm Springs...we were playing the Stadium Course @ PGA West (where the Bob Hope is played) and I had one that flew in the cup...and then back out once it hit the hard dirt and PVC inside the hole.

I destroyed the front of the lip on the Par 3 at (# 3 or 4 I think) The Cliffs that requires a long carry over a gorge. My little brother took a picture of my shot...too bad it didn't work out.

My 3rd close call was on #17 @ Bear Ridge in Waco. I one-hopped it against the flagstick and it stopped right on the lip of the hole but didn't fall in. Ironically, I have a picture of me hitting that shot too...but it's on my home computer!

ive hit one in from about 180 out, but it was my second shot :( im waiting for the day i get me a hole in one, ive gotten close, but so cigar yet

I actually had one when I was about 10. It was on the par 3 #10 at Gainesville. I hit a truly ugly worm burner that barely cleared the water, bounce up onto the green, hit the flag stick and fell it. If not for the stick it would have gone clear over the green. My uncle picked up the ball, told me that shot was too ugly to count and made me hole out from the back of the green. :mad: :mad:

Last year I was at a course in Azle on a par 3 with an elevated green. My shot hit on the right side of the green, hopped left and followed the contour of the green to stop ON THE LIP OF THE HOLE!!! I nearly cried. Even my buddy that was playing with me nearly cried!

I have one. 1996 - 8th hole at Prestonwood Creek in Dallas.

143 yards, 8 iron. Hit 3 feet behind the hole and backed in!

I have the ball in a trophy in my office. :D

i got a hole in one last year...but our hole was only like 89 yards. but needless to say, it was all skill. :)

Been close a few times, but never made one. I did hole out the second shot on a par 5 one time though.
I know a 13 yo kid in Sweetwater that has had 3 aces. I think he had 2 before he was 10, if I remember right. His dad is the HS boys golf coach. His older brother and sister went to college on full ride golf scholarships.

actually it takes practice because some people hit waaaayyyy over the hole into a random field surrounding the golf course.

I got extremely close on the second hole I ever played...hopped right over the cup though and ended up about 8 feet away. Never got that close again.

at creekview in crandall I tee'd up on I believe number 8 and hit my first shot in the water....I tee'd it back up and holed it for a pretty Par

I hit one about 18 inches from the pin on a course in New Mexico one time. I know, I know, it's no hole in one, but it was close. But what really made the shot kinda neat was that my little brother hit second and hit my ball with his and rolled it about ten feet from the pin, while leaving his right where mine had just been.
