Lamesa Scrimmage

There is a new excitment with the Golden Tors! With the first teamers it was 1-0 Shallowater. The Tors ran the ball on offense up and down the field, threw the ball pretty well too out of their veer stuff. The defense was flying to the football and making some good hits. Shally threw the ball almost every down and got 1 score on a short pass with break down in our secondary. The 2nd team was 3-0 Shally, break downs in the sec. and poor tackling cost us with some JVrs in there. But things are looking up for the TORS!

yes they are - usually have pretty good/competitive teams ... last 10 years they are:
(6-2-3) (8-3) (9-3) (5-6) (6-4) (4-7) (8-3) (6-6) (11-2) (3-7)

That is good to hear the Tor progam is getting back up to where it has been in past years!!

My observation:

Lamesa Tornados - 3A team
Shallowater Mustangs - 2A team

These teams scrimmaged each other yesterday.

GOLDENTORS got on the 3A board to talk about his 3A team.

I see NOTHING wrong here.

We don't discriminate against other classes anyway.

We have plenty of posters who moved up to 4A or down to 2A who are welcome here AT ALL TIMES to keep us informed!

I think we should put up a sticky telling the next Lamesa poster to register as goldenAtor because that's just too bad A!!!

i am glad to see that the TORS are going to rise back up.

my mom is from there and my dad coached there years ago....it was just JH and for a couple of years....but i think he enjoyed life in Lamesa.

BTW- Lamesa still has a drive-in theater...pretty neat....my wife and i have driven from lubbock a few times to goto the drive-in...of course that was before lubbock opened up their own drive in.

I think we will be better....how much, who knows. I do think the new coaches are doing it the right way, we will just have to wait and see. It is so hard to tell with a scrimmage anyway.
