Nobody in Centex considers Giddings a "sleeper" but rather a true contender. I think Giddings is the biggest "dark horse" to go to 3A semis or higher in the state this season. Their running game is just outstanding.

Clyde will probably make it to the state regional finals, and im predicting they win district. With a cold soph. named Jacob Gonzales up on varsity, watch out..

Dist. 18 the sleeper has got to be Rockdale.
Picked last in dist., everybody is gonna overlook the Tigers.
The Tigers are gonna be pretty good, but there in a tough dist.
Cameron - top 10
Hutto - state finalist & top 10
Liberty Hill - always a good program
Taylor - just down from 4A
whoever wins this dist. will be ready for a playoff run.

I pick Clyde as my dark horse, and think they will do well, but this is as rediculous of a homer statement as I have ever read on here. But, if your a player, you gotta believe first, then you gotta go do. So it looks like he has the right attitude anyway. We shall see. Clyde did play a great ballgame against Sweetwater last year.

Yeah they played us tough the last two years. But, they were
hammered by Wylie and Snyder. They really get up for us for some
reason...

32-3A La Vernia with coach Bo Robinson taking over a winning program. They will be tough

18-3A Rockdale with coach Jeff Miller taking over and with the athletes that they have that no one knows of. They will make some noise.

Goliad could possibly be a sleeper in 29-3A. They've made the playoffs the last 2 years. They have a new Coach from Ingram. It will all depend on how they adjust to his system.

I think Andews is not only a darkhorse in their district, but a darkhorse in West Texas. They were so successful in 4A for so long, and only fell on hard times the last few years. I think their drop to 3A will revitalize that program, and they will be a force to be reckoned with year in and year out, in the very near future. If not this season, very soon there after.

i think that goliad and polacios could be a battle for that 3rd spot.

i could have never imagined saying that....but it is possible :)

Whitesboro ..heck they have been sleeping almost 80 years never made the playoffs...but joking aside they could be a sleeper they have alot of seniors and a few move ins, and coach of the district from 28-3a now aboard we will see

14-3A darkhorse is Athens. Probably won't win this district with Brownsboro and Van in it but after dropping to 3A this year they could make the playoffs.

After last year's season I think Yoakum may be a sleeper....

But in all honestly I believe the bottom three just won't wake up at all... just keep sleeping...

And when they play each other it'll be like 3-0 in 7 OT's or something...

Lamesa in 3-AAA - alot of Juniors and some Seniors from a very successful JV team a year ago. New Coaches, new attitude, and we are hungry for a winner here! Mark it down.......
