How many of you have kids playing football this season? What team and position?

WARNING!!!!!!! Do not be a bleacher coach. Funny how all the best plays ever made are from the stands and they never seem to get called.

No bleacher coaching allowed.

7th and 10th grade players

7th grader - TBD, but possibly ST (will know in a couple of weeks if Purple (A) or Gold (B) team)

10th grader - still working on winning/earning starting position on varsity at ST

No need to ask if you're a proud parent, LHPM. Those boys are fortunate to have you behind them. However, in your case, I bet they would rather face dad than you if they "mess up" in a game. :D

:foul: :foul: :foul: That is one of my football pet peeves! If "you" can do so much better, get your butt down there and try.....wouldn't last 5 minutes, I'm sure.

Actually, I try never to point out anything negative to them. If they mess up, they've already heard about it from the coaches. If they bring it up, I'll remind them to work on improving and/or correcting. :)

You bet, IHS fan---I always like to hear from members of the Downlow family who have a child playing anything, anywhere, anytime.

Not here....they're not allowed on the bleachers. :D :p (You don't want to be in the stands, though, if you're a coach. ;) )

Bull, that's a great solution. I might try that myself. Although, I don't have a kid playing. :D

Hey, that might work. Back when I played QB some in HS we ran an option pass out of the veer that was mechanically similar to a slide spike. And then, of course, they could run it from a quick set. :D :D

My son is 10 years old and plays for the Sweetwater JR PEEWEE team. He plays defensive tackle and offensive tackle and also is the blocking fullback when needed. He packs a pretty big bunch at fullback weighing 142 lbs.
