Any of the Pioneer Restaurants in Wichita Falls. Beats El Chico's and On The Border's hot sauce hands down.

All of the food threads are making me H U N G R Y!

Most of the chips and salsa's taste about the same to me. (A salsa expert would find this post highly offensive.)

Those folks that make salsa are like the ones that make chili....they take it very seriously and the competition is fierce.

I can sure eat A LOT of Chili's Chips and Hot Sauce.

There are a few places down on the Riverwalk that I absolutely love...even if they are ridiculously hot. I wish I could think of the names of them...

I like the chips at Baby A's in Austin, their salsa is decent as well...

I want my chips to be crisp and light, yet strong enough to scrape up some freaking refried beans when I'm all wrapped up...

ugh...no bueno senor!!!

One night I was at Chili's and they had run out of salsa so I guess they had gone over to Albertson's and were using the Tostito's mild and chunky salsa. yeah...they definitely didn't get to charge me for that one! ;)

There's a little place on the east side of Springtown (Lorena's ?) that's got some great hot sauce. I think they make their own chips, also. It's great!

That's Casa Rio and they are awesome

But I've eaten at the best mexican food restaurants in all corners of the state and the top 3 restaurants for chips and salsa in Texas are:

3) Henry's, San Angelo
2) La Playa, Corpus Christi
1) Mamacita's, San Marcos

Only eaten at your number one... and though I REALLY enjoyed their food and the way their salsa goes with their food, their chips and salsa didn't blow me away... but WAS good...

Got about 4 or 5 hole in the walls I'd put infront of it...

Where at? I'd like to try them!

Honestly, Mamacita's is #1 because of the green sauce. Their red salsa is above average, but the green sauce is OVER THE TOP

I've grown to like *gasp* walmart's "Ancho Pepper and Honey Salsa". That stuff is a little sweet but man it's good!:)
.
For local stuff I love the Mexican sauce from Joby's in Mathis. Hot but very satisfying. Their chips are pretty top noch too!

Chips and salsa would not be as good without a certain beverage to wash it down. :)

It's toward town from Padre Island Drive. In the same area as Armstrong lumber Company. Also right across the street from Kodiak Firearms.
