I too wish to say congrats to the schools who made the top ten. Class 3A was very competitve this year with only 16 points seperating to number one school from number 10. In class 5A, the difference between 1 and 10 was 48 points while in 4A the difference was 68.

These schools made the top ten last year also:

Atlanta
Barbers Hill
Decatur
Kountze
Wimberly
Yoakum

Of the six years in which the Lone Star Cup has been tabulated, Barbers Hill has made the list 3 times. Does anyone know the history of other schools?

RangerMom...the Lone Star Cup is a contest that gives points for district championships and playoff victories in team sports, points for team standings in individual sports like track, points for UIL Academic competition and points for UIL band competition. To find out about how the points system works you would need to go to the UIL website. Before the last update Greenwood was in the top 10 based on their total points but were nudged out right at the last.
