The CCC reports the ten most stolen vehicles for 2005 are as follows:

1. 2001 BMW M Roadster
2. 1998 Acura Integra
3. 2004 Mercury Marauder
4. 1999 Acura Integra
5. 1995 Acura Integra
6. 2002 Audi S4
7. 1996 Acura Integra
8. 1997 Acura Integra
9. 2001 Acura Integra
10. 2000 Jaguar XJR

MY COMMENTARY
Why on God's green earth isn't my 2004 Saturn L300 on this list? Surely it's a desirable car. The sleek lines, the stunning maroon paint, those plastic panels. These thieves aren't a smart bunch, thats for sure.

They are easy to modify for the street racing crowd.

you really dont realize how easy it is to swap out the engine of the Ac and throw in something a lil more powerful. Its every street racers dream to throw on some mods to an Ac and then drop a more powerful engine in it...

yeah...I noticed it was hard to find even a picture of a stock Integra. I guess the street racing crowd is more likely to be into car theft as well.

I don't think its the kids doing this. I blame pseudo-adults who enjoyed The Fast and the Furious way too much.

VW Jetta...I think it has an alarm but I'm sure that it will fail at the most opportune time...like when somebody breaks into my car!

LOL. I have a buddy down here who has one. I was really impressed with it... thought it would ride rough like a Beamer or an Accord, but it's really smooth for a mid-size car.

Where do you live?:D

I thought for sure that the big Ford and GM SUVs would make the list. There for a while, those were the ones being stolen from Portland.
