No, no, RM....the next line is.."The old man is snoring". :D

Sorry for the tree---you and your family will have some work to do to remove it, but you will at least end up with some firewood for the winter.

Ranger Mom, for a moment there, I thought you were singing that Donna Summer song and started singing the rest of the lyrics. :D

Wish we'd get a little rain. :(

* at 548 PM CDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging winds in
excess of 60 mph... small hail... and heavy rain. This storm was
located near Midland... moving northeast at 15 mph.

* The severe thunderstorm will affect the following locations...

I guess RM wasn't bluffing!!

Let it dry out for a year. It'll burn, not as long as mesquite and definitely not as long as oak, but it will burn just fine in a fireplace.
(Don't BBQ with it though).

Okay!! I just thought it was over. When I left Walmart it was raining, but not too much, so we went ahead a loaded the groceries. I had my daughter and her b/f with me, so we were able to knock that out pretty quickly.

It hit HARD on the way home. I couldn't get over 40 MPH and when we got home my husband was on the patio saying he couldn't find one of my puppies.

I forgot about the groceries and went looking for my baby....he was huddled under the deck by the pool, soak and wet and scared to death.

I got him in the house and dried off and went to get the groceries. Every single thing that was in a box is ruined. The cereal is in bags, so I was able to salvage that.

I now have mushy Cream of Wheat...soggy waffle cones...baggies, foil and saran wrap with no box, and saturated dryer sheets.....add to that one very wet, very sad, little puppy and a daughter who is TERRIFIED of storms.

But we got some much needed rain!!

:D

WOW!

It never rains there! Just watched the weather channel and immediately thought of you! Saw pictures of El Paso flooding (biggest since the 1800's) and you guys (Midland) getting rain!

Glad the only thing lost was a few grocery items!;)
