I like B as well. Thanks for running with this AJ. I think we could do better on price than $15 bucks, though. The shirt itself is like $3 tops. Where you would run into a littke expense would be set up fee's for the screen printing. Some of those guys are pretty expensive for these fees. There is a local guy that told me he wouldn't charge me a set up fee for my kid's soccer team.

I think the front side should just have a small logo, on the left chest area. Save the big decal for the back. We should definitely try to at least get the shirts printed in team specific colors (primary color) so that each shirt is unique. I'll check what rates could be.

Another thing I just thought about, should we ask Matt's permission to advertise his website? I don't think he would say NO but it is his property. I thinkl a courtesy PM is in order at the very least. Anyone else agree/disagree? I will be the sacrificial lamb and write the PM if we are in agreeance this is indeed necessary.

The point of the .com is to advertise the website. If you see it and you don't know what 3adownlow is you probably wouldn't go home and Google it if you know what I mean. My vision is to have the shirts in school colors so it could be worn on Friday nights at games to push membership #'s up. Since the shirts cost money to buy and make I thought it would be a good fund raiser for the site as well as free advertisement by the members that wear it out in public.

works for me. I was simply thinking of the overall appeal of the shirt...not any type of potential membership gains that might come from it.

A couple of thoughts:

1. If the point is to advertise ".com" needs to be on the shirt.

2. If only one color is made, go with a light grey instead of white.

3. Keep it simple. I personally am not a big fan of "busy" t-shirts. Keep the pics to a minimim and keep the size modest. On the front I would simply have "3ADownLow" in some form either across the chest or top left/over the heart. On the back is where I would put some kind of design.

4. My idea for the back would be some sort of representation of the board. Perhaps something resembling a screen cap of the board itself. If it is a one time thing and orders are taken before the shirt is printed, perhaps a "roster" listing the members of the board that ordered it; similar to a team t-shirt. Try to represent the board as much as possible with whatever design is on the back.

5. What about the flaming logo at the top of the board? (It does nothing for me, but anytime doing something to that logo is brought up there always seems to be a lot of support for the flaming logo.)

Here's an idea why don't put the State of Texas with all the mascots in the inside but put the 3A teams mascots where the shirt is going to be touring on the front then on the back put
3A DOWN LOW'S FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS TOUR 2006 with the list of teams play dates on it

I like what AJ has going. He's doing a great job and for positively no compensation other than the pride of knowing he's responsible enough to do a jood job. I like his B option but I'm sure he is going to be very thorough and find out what the other members think before he locks in on one particular design. Besides that, we still do not have Matthew328's permission to actually put 3adownlow.com on anything yet. It is his site and it is a must that he approve anything me want to do with regards to the name he owns.

All profits are to be donated to the board for improvements and/or upgrades Tony. We also hope to gain a few new members out of the deal by wearing the shirts in public with 3adownlow.com prominently placed on the front and back. AJ has some really good possibles on page 1 of this thread just to give you an idea of what we are thinking about. I hope for this shirt to be a Friday night staple of many of the members. That is our target audience, 3A football fans, so if we wear them to our favorite team's game maybe someone will want to check out our little piece of heaven.

From what I understand from the "suggestion" thread, it would be advertising/fundraising for the board. Say, if the cost to make is $10, sell for $15 or so to cover postage, then the rest of the profit goes to the board "kitty".

Tony, I think that is a great idea. I'd be willing to bet AJ would be more than happy to help out with some of the design work etc. AJ is a true diamond in the rough, polish that dude up a little and he will shine like nothing else.

Here's my thought. This shirt with 4 colors in it and going with the cheapest shirt you can put it on and only running about 20-25 shirts is going to each of the at a price around 15.00 . My thought is that we have 2 types of donations. One donation is a check that you write or I can use my paypal and we do it this way: You know that it's going to take 15 to make and about 5 to ship. So 20 bucks a shirt. Not bad in my opinion. Well we also say any amount you contribute over 20 goes directly to the Upgrage FUND or what ever we call it. That way if the cost per shirt is driven down because of a big reponse, the DOWNLOW will benefit over all.

AJ, I don't like the back side. The 3adownlow.com is way to small. It doesn't meet it's purpose any more of being readable from several rows up the bleachers. Any chance we can see what selection B looks like on a gray shirt???

On a mavericks forum I posted on they had shirts made. It was $12 and the logo has yet to start peeling after 2 years of washing, back has the username airbrushed on aswell. I will find out where they were done.
