I was wondering if the board would be interested in a fundraiser/advertising idea I have. It's an easy idea. T-shirts. T-shirts are fairly inexpensive and easy to screen print on. In my vision there would be a plain white T-shirt with www.3adownlow.com on the back across the shoulder area so anyone sitting behind you could read the web address. Then a cool state of Texas logo of some kind on the front. The screen print can be in a wide assortment of colors so that just about any team colors could be matched fairly easily. Sell them for $10 -$15. Set a date to have your order placed by and get with a screen printer to set it up. On the order select size and color you want the screening in. Seems like someone made mention of starting up a screen printing biz with one of his buddies a while back. Anyways, the downlow gets the profits and might draw some new members from the advertisement. Would make a great game day shirt.

TO KEEP IT CHEAP!!!

we have to go black & white....
we have to have a significant amount of orders to make it worth while...

For instance, the black and white would need 25 shirts to be ordered. The quote is about 10.35 per shirt to be made. By the time we mailed them we would sink about 15 dollars into the whole project before we can clear any money. We offer the price of 20 dollars and we make a five dollar profit each time we sell a shirt. We then turn around and make a total of 125 dollar profit that we can use for server space or to help with upgrades for the software. Ya know.

Or simply we can just sell them for about 15 bucks after S&H and ask for a donation for them.

I know the shirts i've created might not be something you want to order, but i am willing to create a poll of shirts i can put together over the next few days and get back with everyone, however, i don't want us to be placing an order for 10 shirts when it's a waste of peoples time.

Who are you using for printing services? My mom's boyfriend has a shop in Mathis and does t-shirts for pretty much every school district in the area and is incredibly affordable.

here is my first attempt. i used this font, but i can substitute any we decide on. also we can have a slogan, or not. i like the "best little forum.." one myself, but i through in a silly one on this try.
the "BACK side im using what looks like the front of the shirt, but i figured it would look better on the back side. teh front, i have a simple smaller logo on the top left side.

GM is right, we talked about this last year. Rabbit93 was the one with the t-shirt biz. However, his deal didn't work out, and he ended up getting out of it.

I would really like to do an online "store" for shirts, caps, jackets, etc. We need a homepage to do that sort of thing. We would also need to set up a supply line to fill orders as they come in. Proceeds, of course, would support the 'low.
