yeah...not really a lot of movement in scores this week as long as you turned in your picks on time!!! :mad: Hopefully the Juarez/Anthony and Cuero/LH games will cause some changes in the scores for next week. There look to be some good matchups out there that will hopefully lead to some variety in the picks.

Amendment #1

Effective as of Week 3 (that's this week), when choosing your Wild Card game for the week, you may only use a team 1 time as your Wild Card pick. For example, if you use Gilmer vs Team X in Week 5...then you can't use Gilmer or Team X again as part of your wild card game. If you were to use Gilmer or Team X again...your Wild Card game would only score as a regular game (1 pt instead of 2 or 3) and you would only receive 4 pts instead of 5 if you guessed the correct score. The rule will be effective going forward so even if you used a Gilmer or Cuero in an earlier W/C game you can still be able to use them at least 1 more time going forward.

There is an exception to the rule!!! If the you have already used two schools as your Wild Card pick and they play each other in a later week, you CAN use that game IF AND ONLY IF they are both in Matt's Top 25.

Here is an example: Let's say that you use Abilene Wylie and Sweetwater in Weeks 4 and 5 against their respective opponents. These two teams meet each other in Week 8 of the season. Let's also assume that they are both in Matt's Top 25 when they meet in Week 8. If this game isn't the Region 1 GotW (which is possible), then you could use it as your Wild Card game and you would still be able to receive full point opportunities.

Feel free to ask any questions that you might have so that we can make sure everybody is clear on the rules this time! :mad: ;)

Amendment #2
The following rule is being added in as the second amendment to the rules. It takes effect immediately and is not retroactive to any previous incidents:

Any incorrect submissions will result in your team receiving 0 points for that game. This includes, but is not limited to, turning in your picks after a game has started and turning in a pick for a game that is not being played in that week.

Please note that any other instances that result in confusion, frustration, and or rocking the boat in general (the AJ clause! ;) ) will also result in your team receiving 0 points for the game(s) which are impacted. That being said, Russ and I are still here to help in any way that we can and will try to give you every possible opportunity to correct any mistakes in your picks before the applicable deadlines.

By the way...it is really smart to pick the easy games for the wildcard...unless you can pick games between top 25 teams and get it right at least 70% of the time...then it would pay to pick the tough ones.

Two pieces of info that everybody needs to know about.

- Starting in Week 6, there will be a "1 point bonus" awarded for each game to the team with the lowest point differential between their pick and the actual score.

- Starting in Week 11 (1st week of playoffs), we will be having the "3ADL Pick'em Playoffs" and they are tentatively set to run through Week 14.

More info will be coming about the 1 point bonus today or tmrw. The playoff format will be announced some time in the near future.

Actually, this change is beneficial for all, 3AFan. Teams should be rewarded for their score picking skill, otherwise we could all just submit a "W" for the team picked to win, and an "L" for the losing team. This will reward actual game picking expertise and provide a means for teams to begin to segregate instead of all "bunching" up with practically identical picks each week.

1st - All Seeing Guys 41 pts (4 pts this week including Reg 3 bonus)
2nd - Nameless Gurus 40 pts (7 pts this week including Reg 2 bonus)
3rd (tie) - FUBAR 38 pts (5 pts this week)
3rd (tie) - Team Carter 38 pts (5 pts this week including TENTATIVE W/C bonus)
5th - Guys/Girls 36 pts (5 pts this week)
6th - BASSHOLES 35 pts (5 pts this week)
7th - 3 Men and an Aggie 34 pts (6 pts this week including Reg 1 bonus)
8th - Dyslexia 34 pts (6 pts this week including Reg 4 bonus)
9th - Patagonian Giants 32 pts (1 pt this week)

NOTE: Team Carter has the W/C bonus SO FAR as they were only 3 points off on the Greenwood/Seminole score. If Guys/Girls are closer on the Madison/Ranchview game then this would effect who gets the bonus.

NOTE 2: The Guys/Girls score reflects them receiving 2 points for a correct W/C game score. If it does turn out to be incorrect or if they win the bonus point then their score will change.

Our WC game was Sanger vs. Gainesville, not Madison/Ranchview. :confused: The Dyslexia team had that pick

And to think....I live over 1100 miles away from most of these teams, and the only Texas teams I've seen play this season are Southlake Carroll, Longview and Lufkin....
