Well I could type it in...but that takes just as long (if not longer) than Excel and then it isn't as clear what you are looking at. Do you have any other suggestions? This is a work in progress after all.

yeah...I am in Abilene for the evening b ut this excel file is still only on my work computer. I'll have it updated on Tuesday morning. After this week though I'll have it ready to go on Saturdays (except for Tech/A&M w/e) for everybody!

Here are the results after Week 0. Right now, the All Seeing Guys, captained by Bullaholic, are in the lead. I don't believe that any of the games are being played on a Thursday this week (though I could be wrong) so you have until FRIDAY AT NOON to have your Week 1 picks turned in.

Revision: The scores for Week 0 include the 3 point "roster bonus" if your team has at least 1 member from all 4 regions.

This is probably a stupid question....but I don't understand the scoring.

The color coded boxes at the bottom of the page don't seem to add up with the colors they correspond with in the above chart! What am I missing?

4 pts for an exact score pick of any game.

You can only get points from the highest possible pt catagory. I can change it to 1 pt if you would prefer though.

I was only doing that because I didn't notify people that there was a Thursday night game. As the guy running things, I think it's only fair that something be done to make others aware that the game is on a Thursday instead of a Friday. That being said...it only affected one team and I didn't receive anything until 930 from them!

Here's my .02 on this. All teams should have their own "pick receipt" deadlines for submission of picks by individual team members to their team captain. Team captains should go with, and submit, their team picks to Adidas based on the team player's picks they have received by the team pick submission deadline. Those team members not submitting picks to their captain by their team submission deadlines do not have their picks included on that week's picks. This is going to happen to team members on every team from time to time. It's a busy world---some team members are out of town, busy, have urgent family matters, or just flat forget. We need to try to get these team picks to Adidas in a timely manner. He needs to have enough time to be able to collate the picks and put them in report form. Delayed team picks work a hardship on anybody trying to administer a game such as this. We are all just having "fun"--Adidas is having to work to make this game happen---let's please
try to help him out for our mutual enjoyment.

Please don't think I am trying to "run" the show or be "somebody"---I am just offering suggestions as a fellow poster to try to help everybody out in something I think we are all enjoying.

i didnt know it was on Thursday - and I'm a very bright person .......... I agree with AJ, if the picks were due earlier than usual then that should have been made clear WELL IN ADVANCE, and it wasnt. IMO the admin dropped the ball on that.

so based on this logic...this same scenario could arise on a Friday as well. You turn your picks in on a Thursday afternoon and then somebody tells us on Thursday night that their QB is hurt and is out for Friday night's game. Wouldn't you then be glad that your deadline is Friday at noon instead of Thursday afternoon? :thinking:

But when you volunteer to be part of a team, you should be willing to devote a few minutes to making an educated pick for your team. Knowing what night the game will be played on and what the weather will be is not too much to ask. Rain is the great equalizer.
