If you go to New York and most other states in the east and ask for sweet tea, that's what you get.

First time I was there and asked for sweet tea and they brought me that I wasn't expecting it and almost spit it all over the table and the people I was with.

It has to be BREWED! Iced, with just a touch of sweet, and a slice of lemon (unsqueezed).
I HATE INSTANT TEA!!!!!!!!! And the canned stuff aint any better.
Red Diamond in the gallon jug is pretty good, but it's gotten too high. I was paying .99 for it when it first came out, but now it's like $2.39. Thats way too high for tea. I can make 10+ gallons for that.

Amen to that. Brewed Lipton only at my house. We used to put lots of sugar in the pitcher, but about 3 years ago went to adding Sweet and Low to the glass. I can drink my tea without any sweetener, but I prefer it to be sweet. My husband REFUSES to throw the empty pink packets away.. He does it cause he knows it drives me absolutely nuts - he leaves the pink packet right next to the sink with a small spoon resting on it. GGRRRRR :mad: :D

In restaraunts, if they have pre-sweetened tea, no lemon, I'll drink it. If they don't, unsweet it is. At home, or if I'm working, unsweet. no lemon. That actually works better than straight water for quenching my thirst.

I like my tea with vodka, gin, rum, tequila, triple sec, some sour mix and a splach of cola. :cool:
