This isn't 3A but B.J. Lewis QB for the Burkeville Mustangs a small class 1A school was in an auto accident yesterday and is not doing that good. I talked to his father today and he said he is on life support. I got to know B.J. covering their games the past few years, and he's a good kid. He just graduated this May, so to those that pray please keep him and his family in your prayers.

Our thoughts will be with him. Life is so fragile as you all know. We have to value every moment.

Here is an update, he has started to respond to family by squeezing their hands and the swelling is starting to go down. He is not paralyzed as first thought so it seems he might just pull out of this thing. For those that have him on your prayer list the family appreciates it and it is working.

What a turn of events, as I understand it, they beat Celeste for the State Championship. Now the community is in sorrow for this young man. Our prayers to go out for him and his family.

Yep Old Cardinal the year before last they beat Celeste in the 1A State Championship with ease. The year before they lost to Stratford, but they hung in there and took it the next year. That team was made up of great kids and besides my Jasper Bulldogs they are my favourite team. Burkeville intimidated everyone because they loved to hit. The news today sounds promising and I believe 100% he will make a complete recovery.

I am a Newton Eagle myself, but Burkeville is my next favorite team to keep up with. Coach Harper has done an outstanding job with those boys. Our prayers are with this young man and his family. The news sounds promising.

Heartfelt sympathy to the family and community. In a small town, everyone is affected by such a tragic loss. They will remain in my prayers.
