I try to remember that these are ENLISTED soldiers. They chose to be there. This is their game time. This is what they spend years training for. Not one soldier that I know that has come back from Iraq or Afganistan has had anything bad to say other than it is hot. They live for this moment. I also think they should help fund respectable outside smoking areas for bars and clubs who did not already have respectable smoking areas and who cannot afford to build them...

I think they should also offer money to bars and clubs that cannot put in respectable outside smoking areas due to being in shopping centers etc... I think those bars and clubs will lose a lot more money because smokers will be attracted to those who are able to put in respectable outside smoking areas...

I think that any parent that thinks they are "helping" a drunken teenager, by letting them sleep at their house because the kid knows he will get in trouble at home for being drunk, needs a lesson in parenting. (And no....I'm not talking about my teenager.)

I think you don't truly realize what an impact your "uncool" parents had on you until you have teenagers of your own.
