I like the one the one Mulder and Scully do the best. It has a certain eXtra feeling to it!

to be totally honest with you....NONE of'em. They're fun to look at each week but when it all comes down to it that don't mean a thing. It's just something for us to talk about.

All just my humble opinion...

Harris is the most respected. More coaches and programs seem to use this service.

AP is pure media junk. It is only what names are popular at the time.

Datapoll is a C++ programmer's little "project" to "compute" the best teams based on how they all did last year. (insert snickers here).

Collier-Sharp seems good, but I would like to see some comparison to how team's finish out. Some folks I have talked to say C-S poll is strongly based on 1 person's opinion. I have no idea, I don't use this one.

Then you have a ton of other polls... Padilla, Freeze, Almost every newspapers local or "area" polls... They appear to be a rehash of some other poll that people adjust to their own liking.

I love what someone once posted and I have remembered since, (think it was SintonFan I first heard it from),

The only poll that matters is the final game in December.

I like Collier Sharp....it uses many opions from people who follow the game not just one persons opion like somebody already said.

It's a good thing Jacket2000 is around to keep folks on their toes. You guys forgot to mention the Old Cardinal non-DFW-based rating service. :p
