We also just added another game to our already good non conference schedule. We are now playing Winthrop who returns 4 starters from a team that nearly upset Tennessee in the NCAA tournament.

Yeah, it is exciting, but also frustrating. I never thought I would see the day where A&M was better in basketball than in football. It is sad with the facilities, tradition, etc. that A&M has not done better in football. When you think of all the other schools in Texas that are having success and getting to bowl games and then look what A&M has done the past few years, quite honestly it is embarassing. Dont get me wrong, i'm not trying to bash A&M, I love the Aggies and had a full academic scholarship there, but it gets frustrating.

I wouldnt exactly call a Big South opponent 'big time' --- but as I have said in the past, aTm's scheduling philosophy certainly served them well last year and will no doubt do the same this year

I dont mean it to be a primetime huge deal, but they are definitely a good team and should provide a good challenge. The schedule this year is going to be very challenging. We play LSU in Baton Rouge, UCLA in LA, Wisconsin, Auburn (there), Pacific, and now Winthrop.
