ags actually have to redo somethings that they normally do for games for this one, because they call themselves old army, this might be confusing to the actual army team....i think this might get interesting in the stands...

Good saying by General Patton. But remember this quote:

"Before any war is won you must win battles."

That line might not be the best of thing to say to our military given the current circumstances.

I'm sorry...but very few people not affiliated with Texas A&M consider them part of our military forces so to compare them evenly with our military academies is somewhat of an injustice in my opinion.

Flame away!!! :flamingma

commissioned as??? Remember that the service academies have limits on the size of their classes. Also, the difficulty (not to mention types of classes) of their courses is unmatched by A&M. I'm pretty sure that A&M doesn't offer degree programs that can compare to much of what is offered (and required) at a military academy.

I just got my ticket about 30 minutes ago. Im excited. 8,000+ expected at midnight yell in rivercenter plaza. That will be rediculous. Then to move the game inside the alamodome will make it so loud. I cant wait to have that place jampacked with Ags.

The Corps of Cadets is as old as the school itself, founded in 1876 when Texas A&M University was an all-male military college. Membership in the Corps became voluntary in 1965. Current membership is around 1,800 students. The Corps is now a co-educational institution, and twenty of its thirty-two outfits are gender-integrated units. Although now only a small percentage of the overall student population, the Corps remains a highly visible presence on campus, a reminder of the school's origins as a military college. Cadets are very active in many campus organizations and renowned for their school spirit, often being called "Keepers of the Spirit."

Members of the Corps have served in every conflict fought by the United States since the Spanish-American War in 1898. More members of the Corps served in World War II than from any other service academy, with 14,123 Aggies serving as officers which is more than the combined total of officers that served from the United States Naval Academy and the United States Military Academy. Over 225 Aggies have been promoted to General or Admiral, while seven former students have been awarded the highest United States military award, the Medal of Honor.
